Fictional worlds

Silver gelatin prints

I have been a reader of fiction all my life. I am struck by how words have the ability to transport me into alternate and imagined worlds - places where I can create my own stories and reality. With this series of images, I attempt to create fictional visual worlds, inspired by the verbal ones, each trying to tell a different story. Each image was created in a traditional darkroom, by layering two black and white film negatives and printed on silver gelatin paper.
